I just read your comment and could relate to it so much I had to reply I broke my leg slipping on wet grass fractured my tibia and had an IM rod inserted. My partner has been taking care of me but it is taking its toll and I'm only two weeks in after surgery. I also found that being like this has been a real eye opener regarding "friends" and even family I don't hear from any friends but one who helps me where she can. All the other "friends" seem to have forgotten I exist. All in all this experience has awoken me (like Amy) to things in my life that were no good or a waste of time. I think it's important for people to understand what an emotional roller coaster a bl can be and that even the simplest things like a visit from someone can brighten your day so much. I am trying to stay positive and teach myself that some people just suck and I can't change that. I am looking forward to my first dr appt since the op, it's tomorrow I get the cast off and stitches out and the opportunity to ask some questions. So glad I found this site and the chance to vent.
