I am so sorry to hear of your husband's accident. You are at a great place (this web site) to ask lots of questions, and there are great people who are here to offer any support we can. I am a broken-legger so my perspective as a care-giver is nil. I was the one hobbling around. I do know it put a lot of pressure on my husband and daughter to pick all the slack I left. I slipped on ice Jan 7 and ended up with a tri-malleolar fx which meant I broke my tibia, fibula and posterior tibia. I ended up with two big screws on the tibia, and a plate with 6 screws on my fibula. I know you must be feeling overwhelmed right now, but slowly but surely the pain your husband feels will decrease, and slowly but surely, he will recover. It will take patience though. All of us on this site have been forced to learn more patience than we ever thought we needed! Anyway, you've found a great place full of people who understand. Take care, and the best to your husband in his journey of recovery.Annie
