Similar story to Allie, I was bouncing with my 6 year old daughter on the trampoline. She said "I bet you can't do this Dad" and bounced on her knees and then back on her feet. I tried it. I'm not sure what happened next, I think my toes on my left foot touched down first. All I heard was a 'pop' and a searing pain in my left leg near the ankle. After rolling round holding my leg for a while the pain dulled to a burning sensation. I decided it was probably ligament damage so put ice on it. I then walked on it all the following day, admittedly very carefully. The following day my older daughter had a hospital appointment, so I decided to pop in to A&E whilst there. Having walked in, I hobbled out on crutches with my lower leg in plaster. Bummer! I've broken by Fib just above the ankle. I've been in a cast for 3 weeks. I have another 2 weeks to go, then hopefully the cast will be removed and another x-ray taken. If all looks ok I hope to be fitted with a 'boot' to give more mobility for a further 3 weeks. If the bones move at all it will have to be plated, I don't fancy that! If anyone else feels as frustrated and annoyed as me, you have my sympathy!
