Hi my name is Ahmad Amer and I am a teenage student athlete. I had never broken a bone before this and I can say that this experience was quite gruesome. It was my second game of the season, for the JV soccer team. I was on the verge of getting moved up to the varsity soccer team after quite a few good performances. I started the game off strong scoring two goals in the first 5 mins of the game. My coach took me off so some others could get some more time on the field. And then half-time came along and we knew we shouldve been winning by more and my coach warned us, I will never get these words "be careful they're angry and they are gonna play nasty, just play your game". And this is what we did, little did I know what was in store for myself. I dribbled through the whole team and was on the verge of scoring my hattrick and ir was me and the goalie and I stuck my left leg out to poke it around him and the goalie comes flying at me both soccer studs up and all I remember was hearing a *snap* and I knew I was severely injured. The blood rushed through my leg and I didn't even think about getting up, I knew my leg was broken. I will never forget this moment and I screamed "I BROKE MY F***ING LEG" and they continued playing until they heard this. Luckily my teammates father was an orthapedic surgeon and quickly held my leg in place and it hurt! It was a depressing scene and I was in agonizing pain. But I knew I'd be able to fight through it. And I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Once we got there I was injected with two supplements if morphine and got an x ray. I was told it was a tib fib fracture. Luckily surgery easnt needed and it wasnt a compound fracture. I went home that night on crutches and was prescribed coediene so I had a hard time eating and sleeping.
