At 63 I have been active skiing, bicycling, hiking mountains, racquet ball, etc. A snowboarder took me down 2/12/16 breaking my tibia spiral fracture, and fibula below knee and above ankle. Plate and screws in the fibula near the ankle, titanium rod "nail" and screws in the tibia. Most incisions small scabs or healed. Have been standing lightly for 3 weeks or more. Can walk for periods. Use and airboot and crutches when leg is sore. Ankle and knee motion is fll range. Use a knee cart for longer distances and a walker around the house. Can stand easily, but am cautious about walking without boot on. Pain is greatest first thing when getting up. Taking Tylenol 3 or 4 x per day 325 mg. Plan to ride bike on roller. Skiing is in a year? What does not kill, strengthens you.
