Well here we go again. Another mixed bag. I started driving on Sunday. I truly feel some independence. I'm also biking pretty hard on my trainer, but unfortunately, I'm starting to get a little bored with no scenery.
My wife introduced me to sliders. For men who are reading this, these are the shoes that are open at the heel. They definitely have more support than sandals, and I highly recommend it for those of you who have to wear air casts when you walk.
I'm still limping and it's starting to get on my nerves. My PT explained that I probably ought to hold off on walking any more than a half mile at time, as the limp will probably cause hip or knee damage on the good leg.
I was hoping that I'd be walking within three weeks. Instead, I find myself in more pain as the day wears on, and I end up cursing my PT at night once the soreness sets in from the day's new exercises.
I know I'm usually upbeat, but once in a while I guess I need to vent. Doing it in writing is better than doing it in front of my loved ones.
I know that my problems are small compared to what many of you are going through, but thanks for being my sounding board. I hope to be more cheerful next week. In the meantime, good luck to you all.
