Aaron, where do I begin...you can read how I broke my leg on my diary posted on the site under Melissa. I am here to tell you that I know exactly know what you are going through. I don't have a case, I got staples, a rod and 2 pins. What did you get. I think that I am a couple weeks ahead of you, my boo boo happened on April 19. I broke my femur 3 inches below the trochanter head. I had to have a 3 hour surgery which resulted in a nine inch scar on my thigh and a 1 inch scar above my knee. I have since then tried to follow the PT advise for moving my muscles but I am getting tired of sitting on my butt. LOL Unfortuately this has got to happen to allow the bone to adhere (graph) around the rod. I have had a time trying figuring out how to do daily activities but I have figured them out, if you what to chat, please email me. I have some pretty good suggestions of how to deduce the scaring and creative ways of how to get around during this time. I was told no weight bearing for 8 weeks. My 1st Dr.'s appt is on June 17. Cross you fingers for me and I will for you. I do need to tell you that I have managed to graduate nursing school on May 7 and I am now an RN. So, if you have questions on anything else, just ask, if I don't know I will find out. Hey buddy I am a couple of weeks ahead of you so I can tell you what is to come next. Your friend Melissa
